Introducing Liquid Lifestyles...
Justin Grover's "Liquid Lifestyles - The Surf Travel Show"
is a series of eight to thirteen episodes following the surfing
action along the world’s most spectacular shorelines. Champion
Surfers work the waves and give their 'take' on reading the surf
on the day. The first episode was shot in Hawaii and features surfers
Bonga Perkins, Zane Harrison, Duane SeSoto and Konoa Dahlin. Although
the focus of the filming is the powerful ocean and the athletes
the surf there, the Hawaiian lifestyle and the breathtaking beauty
of the destination are depicted from a 'local' viewpoint.
Unlike most documentaries, this series is a surfer's view of the
world. Rising with the sun. Reading the swell. Riding the waves
with controlled athleticism. Respecting and reaching out to the
local people and their culture. Surfing is not just about the water
and the adrenaline rush of catching the big waves. It's about knowledge,
skill, cultural curiosity and an affinity with nature.
Liquid Lifestyles provides an understanding of the aspects of the
destination, showing the topographical lie of the land, the best
way to get around and what to do. Liquid Lifestyles delves into
the history of the culture and the people, giving our viewers an
insight to each location.
Below are some clips taken by Justin Grover at Noosa in Queensland,
